Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 October 2026
1. Acceptance and who may use Cuvera
By creating a Cuvera account you accept these Terms. You must be of legal drinking age in your country to use Cuvera. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use the app.
2. What Cuvera is
Cuvera is an educational wine companion. It suggests food and wine pairings, explains the reasoning behind them, helps you record a wine collection and your tastings, and answers questions through an AI sommelier. Its guidance is educational and probabilistic — it describes what wines tend to do, not what they will certainly do.
Cuvera is not professional, medical, dietary, nutritional or legal advice. Cuvera does not sell alcohol, does not deliver alcohol, and is not a marketplace.
3. Responsible enjoyment
Cuvera never encourages excessive consumption. Please drink responsibly and within the law of your country. Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health. Please enjoy wine in moderation.
4. AI-generated content
Pairing suggestions, tasting guides, wine enrichment and Camille's answers are generated by artificial intelligence. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and they are not guarantees. Always check anything that matters — in particular allergens, ingredients and alcohol content — against the producer's own information. Content generated by AI is labelled as such in the app.
5. Your account
Provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and do not share your account. One account is for one person. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Cuvera for anything unlawful, or to promote harmful or excessive drinking;
- scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code, prompts or models;
- access the service by automated means, or circumvent rate limits, quotas or authentication;
- upload content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes anyone's rights;
- attempt to access another user's account or data.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create — your collection, notes and tasting records. You grant us only the licence needed to host, process and display that content back to you as part of running the service, including sending the necessary parts to our AI provider to produce the answers you ask for.
8. Our content
The Cuvera name, logo, design, editorial content and software are protected by intellectual property law and remain ours. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our brand.
9. Availability and changes
Cuvera is provided on an "as available" basis. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we apply rate limits to protect the service and keep costs sustainable. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
10. Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Cuvera is provided without warranties of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
11. Termination
You may stop using Cuvera and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or puts the service at risk.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. This choice does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually reside.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and we will bring any proceedings against you only before those courts.
